It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, particularly to our west where the “Riverhead Holiday Light Show & Santa’s Village” is gearing up for its second year.

The light show opens on Friday, November 22, at 5 p.m. with new displays and photos with Santa. This year, it will feature dozens of larger-than-life displays, some as tall as three stories, and spanning more than 100 feet in length. Attendees can expect to take about 20 to 25 minutes to drive through the show in its entirety. Admission is $23 per carload.

This year, the organizers of the light show have partnered with Hotel Indigo and Bistro 72 in Riverhead to create Santa’s Village where Santa will be available to talk with children, giving them an opportunity to make their case for why they’ve earned their spot on the nice list this year. Admission to Santa’s Village is free. Professional photos are available for $22. The holiday light show is at 149 Edwards Avenue in Calverton and will be open through December 29. A full schedule and tickets are available at RiverheadLightShow.com.
