The Church in Sag Harbor hosts the Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center as it continues the Thinking Forward lecture Series with “Equality Matters in the Hamptons” a segment that focuses on discussing race, to open eyes and minds to all perspectives in the community.

The talk on July 22, at 4 p.m. is titled “From the Tenements to the C-Suite” and will feature businesswoman and powerhouse Ursula M. Burns. Burns was the first Black woman to be a CEO of a Fortune 500 company, is a founding partner of Integrum Holdings, current chairman of Teneo Holdings LLC, retired chairman and CEO of Xerox Corporation and VEON, Ltd. and award-winning author for her 2021 book “Where You Are Is Not Who You Are.”

The discussion will be moderated by Ken Miller — a writer, financier, political activist, longtime BHCCRC advisory board member and a former senior advisor at Teneo.

There will be a reception following the lecture. Tickets are $20. The Church is at 48 Madison Street, Sag Harbor. For details visit thechurchsagharbor.org.
