Step into a world of fashion brilliance on Sunday, June 25, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. when the Southampton Arts Center (SAC) hosts an unforgettable evening with industry powerhouses Fern Mallis, creator of New York Fashion Week, and designers Stan Herman and Jeffery Banks.

“I’m so looking forward to being at the SAC with my two favorite friends and designers,” said Mallis. “We have a lot of shared fashion history and love Southampton.”

This exclusive event presents an unparalleled opportunity to immerse oneself in the world of fashion and hear firsthand accounts of the captivating stories and hard-earned insights that have shaped these designers’ legendary careers. Attendees will be treated to a vibrant discussion as Mallis navigates the iconic designs of Stan Herman and the relentless pursuit of preppy sophistication by Jeffery Banks.

Mallis, heralded as the doyenne of fashion, will lead the conversation, providing rare insights into the industry she has helped shape for decades. Post-conversation, attendees have the unique opportunity to purchase personally autographed copies of her acclaimed book, “Fashion Icons 2.”

“We’re absolutely thrilled to host such an exceptional event at the Southampton Arts Center. It’s not every day that we get to welcome industry titans like Fern Mallis, Stan Herman and Jeffery Banks to our stage,” said SAC Executive Director Christina Mossaides Strassfield. “We’re certain our guests will walk away with a deeper understanding and appreciation for the art and craft of fashion. We can’t wait to see you on June 25th.”

Hailed as the award-winning creator of New York Fashion Week, Fern Mallis has been called an industry titan, fashion doyenne, and the godmother of fashion. After two decades at the CFDA and IMG Fashion, she is now president of her own international consulting firm. She is also the recipient of numerous industry awards including the 2013 Fashion Industry Lifetime Achievement Award from the Pratt Institute, the 2013 FIT President’s Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Icon of Innovation Award from Fashion Group International in 2022. For the last 12 years, Mallis has hosted the acclaimed 92nd Street NY conversation series Fashion Icons with Fern Mallis.

This event promises to be more than just a conversation — it’s a passport to the heart of the global fashion industry. Fashion enthusiasts, industry professionals and budding designers are invited to secure a spot for what promises to be a night of sartorial brilliance.
