The Full Moon Arts Collective will host an exhibition featuring the work of Elizabeth Malunowicz along with 12 of the Full Moon artists at the John Jermain Memorial Library in Sag Harbor. The show opens on Wednesday, October 5, and will be on view through November 16. An artists’ reception, with the opportunity to meet all the members of the collective, will be held Sunday, October 9, from 2 to 4 p.m. with light refreshments served.

The Full Moon Arts Collective came into existence in 2005 — under the inspiration and leadership of conceptual artist Ronnie Wiener — with the intent of creating an environment to allow artists of varying disciplines to create visionary work. In 2018, Wiener welcomed a new group of artists to pursue their individual visions in the same collaborative manner. Each artist in the Full Moon Arts Collective has a long and distinguished career in various disciplines, from painting to photography, mixed media, conceptual art, sculpture and poetry.

The featured artist in the library show is Elizabeth Malunowicz, whose contemplative paintings of bowls and land offer a quiet moment of reflection. Malunowicz comes to the blank canvas with a meditative mind, hoping to share calmness or concern with the viewer.

“I reflect on beauty and its duality of strength and fragility,” Malunowicz said.

The members of the collective showing at the John Jermain Memorial Library are: Peter Beston, Janet Culbertson, Vito Gentile, Gina Gilmour, Anna Jurinich, Jane Kirkwood, Mike McLaughlin, Elizabeth Malunowicz, Robert Moore, Steve Palumbo, Jonathan Pearlman, Ronnie Wiener and Valerie Zeman.
