Tripoli Gallery, 30a Jobs Lane in Southampton, will open a solo exhibition of new paintings by Judith Hudson, “Fur and Flesh” with an opening reception on Saturday, May 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. The show will remain on view through June 27. In “Fur and Flesh,” Ms. Hudson continues to explore female sexuality through moments — private and intimate, humorous and awkward.
Ms. Hudson’s work has been included in solo and group exhibitions at The New Museum, Philips de Pury & Co., Marlborough Gallery, The Drawing Center, and Salomon Contemporary in New York, as well as locally at The Fireplace Project in East Hampton and The Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill. Her work can be found in international private art collections and in public collections of Goldman Sachs, The New York Public Library, Prudential Insurance Company of America, Phillip Morris and IBM. Ms. Hudson is a resident of Manhattan and Amagansett. This will be her second show at the Tripoli Gallery.
