Emerging visual artist, Michelle Muri‐Sloane will open a summer art gallery in the heart of Sag Harbor at 6 Rector Street.
Ms. Muri‐Sloane’s artwork has been recognized by the Washington Studio School in Washington, D.C. which will feature her oil painting, “Still life” for their August show. Her seascape painting, titled “Tempestuous” was featured this June in the Landscape Show at the Lincoln into Art Gallery in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
While in Sag Harbor, Ms. Muri‐Sloane will host gallery showings at gallery aclure on Rector Street, throughout the summer. Joining this first opening will be visual artist Tati Vice. Brazilian born, living and working in Houston, Texas, the artist transitioned from performance to visual arts and has a new body of work is inspired by routine elements in the daily life, where she highlights the extraordinary from the ordinary things and characters that are much a part of our lives.
The first show will open on Friday, June 24 at 6 p.m. and will feature selected pieces of all of her work including florals, landscapes and abstract paintings. The gallery will also host an opening of landscape paintings on July 22, abstracts on August 19 and florals on September 9.
