As part of its 35th season, on July 26, the Hampton Library’s Fridays at Five series will present Laurence Maslon. The author will talk about his latest book, “From Broadway to Main Street: How Show Tunes Enchanted America.”

In his book, Maslon, a professor at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, tells the story of how the most beloved songs of the American Musical Theater made their way from the Theater District to living rooms across the country. Maslon is the host and producer of the weekly radio series, “Broadway to Main Street,” which is broadcast on WPPB 88.3 FM on Sundays at 3 p.m.

Fridays at Five is held in the rear garden of the Hampton Library, 2478 Main Street, Bridgehampton. Admission is $20 and beverages and hors d'oeuvres will be served.
