American blues guitarist and Grammy Award-winner Johnny Winter will perform live at the Suffolk Theater in Riverhead on Friday, February 7, at 7 p.m.

Mr. Winter has been hailed as on of the most respected singers and influential guitar players of all time. The blues rock icon will release “True to the Blues: The Johnny Winter Story” four-CD box set later this month. He has recorded almost 40 albums of classic rock and blues during his five-decade career.

Mr. Winter was voted one of the “Top 100 Guitarists of All Time” by Rolling Stone magazine and has produced three Grammy Award-winning albums by Muddy Waters. Gibson Guitars released a signature Johnny Winter Firebird guitar, which was presented by Guns N’ Roses lead guitarist Slash at a ceremony held in Nashville. Winter has headlined prestigious events such as the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Chicago Blues Festival and Swedish Rock Fest.
