Grammy award-winning singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Laufey will perform for one night only to benefit the Montauk Historical Society on August 3 at the Montauk Point Lighthouse. The event will be produced by the New York-based events company Murmrr Presents.

Gates will open at 5 p.m. for a precelebration with a DJ spinning. There will be food and drinks available before and during the show at 7 p.m.

Laufey (pronounced lāy-vāy) continues her story with her 2024 Grammy-winning album “Bewitched.” Inspired by jazz greats and classical masters while possessing a point of view that could only be conveyed by a 21st-century twenty-something, “Bewitched” represents an expansion of Laufey’s sonic palette. Her self-assured musicianship and deeply felt lyrics take the idea of “classic” music, whether it’s slotted as classical or jazz or even chart-topping pop, and humanizes it, giving her music a relatability to the next generation of jazz and classical aficionados.

“There are very few examples of artists who are on stage with an orchestra one day and making TikToks the next,” she notes. Laufey’s straddling of those two worlds has put her in a singular place across music, and with “Bewitched,” she’s ascended to the next level.

“As a musician, my goal is to bring jazz and classical music to my generation through a more accessible road,” declared the composer, singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. The LA-based, Icelandic-Chinese artist’s trailblazing approach has paid off, as she is now a Grammy-winning, top-streaming jazz artist in the world, with an audience of over 7 million across socials.

Founded by Brian Kelly, Murmrr is a community-focused New York-based events company that programs world-renowned and emerging artists in various disciplines including music, art, comedy, literature, and film. Murmrr strives to provide a hi-fi sonic experience coupled with events that promote culture before commerce.

Tickets range from $79 to $350 and can be purchased at murmrr.com.

The Montauk Point Lighthouse is located at 2000 Montauk Hwy., Montauk.
