The Hampton Synagogue will offer the 15th annual Great Hampton Cantorial Festival over Thanksgiving Weekend, Friday and Saturday, November 27 and 28.
Cantor Netanel Hershtik, the Hampton Synagogue and the New York Synagogue will be joined by two of London’s most distinguished cantors, Cantor Rabbi Lionel Rosenfeld of the Western Marble Arch Synagogue, and Cantor Jonny Turgel of Edgware Synagogue, as well as Cantor Shimon Craimer of the Riverdale Jewish Center. The cantors will be accompanied by London’s internationally acclaimed Shabbaton Choir, among the world’s most celebrated cantorial and liturgical choirs, in its much anticipated U.S. debut.
The schedule of services and events begins on Friday, November 27, at 4:15 p.m. with Shabbat evening services followed by a congregational Shabbat dinner. On Saturday, November 28, Shabbat morning services will begin at 8:45 a.m., followed by a congregational Kiddush luncheon.
The gala concert will be presented in the Berman Sanctuary at 7:30 p.m., with complimentary admission. A reception will follow immediately after the concert.
