On Tuesday, March 8, Guild Hall will host its Academy of the Arts Lifetime Achievement Awards and Dinner at the Rainbow Room in Manhattan, an evening devoted to celebrating artistic achievement. The event, hosted by North Haven resident and artist Eric Fischl – president of Guild Hall’s Academy of the Arts – honors both year-round and summer East End residents who have demonstrated excellence in the arts. Funds raised from the award’s dinner benefit Guild Hall’s mission of celebrating the artistic spirit on the East End by educating, inspiring, and enriching diverse audiences with excellent and engaging year-round programming.
This year, Mr. Fischl will present actress Sarah Jessica Parker, a part time Amagansett resident, with an award for her work in performing arts. Mary Heilmann will receive a visual arts award

presented by Adam Weinberg, Alice Pratt Brown Director of the Whitney Museum. A.M. Holmes will be honored with a literary award presented by singer-songwriter and author Roseanne Cash. Charlotte Moss and Barry S. Friedberg will receive special awards for leadership and philanthropic endeavors presented by philanthropist Howard Milstein.
