The Suffolk will host 22-year-old guitar phenom TAZ, Brandon Niederauer, with special guests MJT on Thursday, December 4, at 8 p.m.
Currently a touring guitarist with multi-Grammy-winning performer Jon Batiste, TAZ has headlined major festivals including Coachella and opened for The Rolling Stones at MetLife Stadium. He has appeared on television and Broadway and has been championed by some of music’s biggest stars.
TAZ began playing guitar at age 8 after seeing the movie “School of Rock” and later starred in “School of Rock: The Musical” on Broadway. By age 16, he had performed with Lady Gaga, Stevie Nicks, Gregg Allman, John Mayer and numerous other renowned musicians.
Known for his seamless mix of blistering guitar riffs and soulful vocals, TAZ has built an international fan base through extensive touring in the U.S., Europe, Asia, Canada and the Caribbean. He recently concluded a headlining tour with sold-out shows at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City. In collaboration with Grammy-winning producer Theron “Neff-U” Feemster, TAZ has recorded material for his debut studio project.
TAZ is set to graduate from Yale University in May 2025 and has continued to explore acting and multi-media performances. He recently appeared in Sony Pictures’ “Saturday Night,” a major motion picture inspired by the first episode of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.”
Tickets for the performance are $20 to $35 at thesuffolk.org. The Suffolk is at 118 East Main Street, Riverhead.
