The Suffolk welcomes back Grammy Award-winning guitar legend Al Di Meola on Thursday, June 26, at 8 p.m. Di Meola will showcase his acclaimed Acoustic Project and feature selections from his latest double album “Twentyfour.”

Renowned for his intricate compositions and virtuosic technique, Di Meola has captivated audiences worldwide for over four decades. His illustrious career includes collaborations with jazz fusion pioneers Return to Forever — alongside Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke, and Lenny White — and the celebrated acoustic Guitar Trio with John McLaughlin and Paco de Lucía.

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Di Meola’s early influences ranged from The Beatles to jazz greats like George Benson. After attending Berklee College of Music, he quickly rose to prominence, earning accolades for albums such as Elegant Gypsy and Friday Night in San Francisco.

“Twentyfour,” released in July 2024, reflects Di Meola’s deep exploration of acoustic soundscapes, blending elements of jazz, world music and classical influences. The album has been praised for its emotional depth and technical brilliance, marking a significant addition to his expansive discography.

Tickets range from $35 to $85 at thesuffolk.org, with VIP packages available that include access to soundcheck, meet-and-greet with Al Di Meola, signed memorabilia and priority seating. The Suffolk is at 118 East Main Street in Riverhead.
