LTV Studios and Hamptons JazzFest will present “The McIver Jazz Piano Series” featuring The Mike Rodriguez Quintet on Thursday, August 28, at 7:30 p.m. The performance takes place in the LTV Piano Lounge, offering an intimate evening of music and conversation with one of jazz’s rising stars.

Grammy-nominated trumpeter and flugelhornist Mike Rodriguez has played with jazz legends including Quincy Jones, Wynton Marsalis, Chick Corea, and Charlie Haden. A native of Queens, New York, Rodriguez studied at the University of Miami and the New School and is known for his versatility, lyricism, and technical skill.

Rodriguez has performed with the Maria Schneider Orchestra, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, and Kurt Elling, and his albums as a leader — including Reverence and Pathways — blend modern jazz with Latin American influences and cinematic textures.

Equally committed to education, Rodriguez teaches and conducts masterclasses internationally, sharing his knowledge and experience with the next generation of jazz musicians. His artistry continues to evolve, marking him as one of the most thoughtful and in-demand trumpeters of his generation.

Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Students with valid ID pay $10. VIP café table seating is available for $60 and includes a drink. Tickets can be purchased at ltveh.org. LTV Studios is located at 75 Industrial Road in Wainscott.
