Sylvester Manor Educational Farm is the place to be on Saturday, October 26, for family friendly activities. It’s the annual Shelter Island Harvest Festival and runs from noon to 3 p.m. at Windmill Field Farm, 21 Manwaring Road.

There will be hayrides, music, games, arts and crafts, a Native American blessing, food, beer, pie-baking contest and more. Guests are encouraged to meet the chickens or help plant garlic in the field — and those who are musically inclined should bring along an instrument and participate in an open jam up by the windmill. Admission is $10 in advance or $12 at the gate ($5/$8 for ages 5 to 12). For more information visit sylvestermanor.org.
