HBO's 'Girls' Films In Montauk

The HBO series “Girls,” created by and starring Lena Dunham, is filming scenes in Montauk this week for its upcoming sixth season.

The show has a film permit for Monday through Friday, according to the East Hampton town clerk’s office. The permit applies to Eddie Ecker Park, the beach in front of the Atlantic Terrace motel, and sidewalks in front of businesses.

The crew may be filming elsewhere in Montauk where permits are not required, such as inside businesses.
