“It’s About Time,” an exhibition by the artists of Thirty Squared Art Collective, will be on view at The Art Gallery at Borghese Vineyard & Winery in Cutchogue through January 15. A party and meet-the-artists reception will take place on Saturday, December 2, from 1 to 4 p.m.
Thirty Squared, an East End art collective, began in January 2015 with artist Aubrey Grainger and a promise between friends to create art every day for 30 days — hence the name, “squared,” 30 paintings in 30 days. Today, the organization counts 50-pus member artists. North and South Fork longtime and rising-star artists will take part in “It’s About Time,” showing paintings and photography, transforming a tasting room into an art gallery.
A total of 14 artists will show a variety of art, including extra-large panels, contemporary scenic photographs, and smaller gems suitable for giving. Art will be refreshed regularly with new pieces as others sell over the duration of the show. Artists include: Ann Lombardo, Anthony Lombardo, Aubrey Grainger, Debra Domingos, Diane White, Eileen Dawn Skretch, James Slezak, Jean Mahoney, Mary Anne Bennett, Mary Ellen Roche, Mary Twomey, Patricia Feiler, Pat Hadley and Susan D’Alessio.
“It’s About Time” art show and sale celebrates two exciting milestones — the debut of Thirty Squared artists showing art on the North Fork, and 50 years of winemaking at the Borghese site where Ann Marie Borghese’s deep passion for the arts paired up with winemaking to create what is now today’s signature vineyard experience carried on by her son, Giovanni Borghese.
