From Carrie Bradshaw to “Euphoria’s” Rue Bennett, Tony Soprano to Jon Snow, it’s impossible to define current pop culture without referencing HBO. Join authors Felix Gillette and John Koblin at Canoe Place Inn on Thursday, March 23, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. as they discuss “It’s Not TV: The Spectacular Rise, Revolution, and Future of HBO.”

The Associated Press called the pair’s incisive book, “A read so riveting, it’s not hard to imagine watching it unfold on Sunday nights.” Books will be available at the event and can be signed by authors.

The talk is presented by Canoe Place Inn’s Front Row series. Admission is free and includes complimentary wine and refreshments. Space is limited. Canoe Place Inn is at 239 East Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays. Call 631-763-6300 or visit canoeplace.com for more details.
