On Sunday June 26 at 12:30 p.m. at the Watermill Center, a revived Jazz for Jennings Brunch and Concert will return for a second year to benefit the Bridgehampton Childcare and Recreational Center.

The Center, located on the Bridge-Sag Harbor Turnpike, was opened in 1949 following the deaths of two unsupervised children in a fire on a local migrant camp. After the tragedy, six acres of farms and fields were donated to provide afterschool services for kids. The Center, which now assists 150 low-income families annually through an afterschool program, summer camp, SAT prep, and other programs, serves as a lifeline for working parents.

Jazz for Jennings —  is held in honor of Peter Jennings, the broadcast a major benefactor of the Center and host of the annual Jazz@Jennings benefit who died 10 years ago. Famous jazz musicians Jon Faddis (trumpet), Cyrus Chesnut (piano), Ada Rovatti (tenor sax), Dan Rose (guitar), Andy Brecker (trumpet), and Carl Allen (drums) will play the event, where there will be a tent and delicious food.
