To celebrate Romany Kramoris’s 20th leap year birthday, Romany Kramoris Gallery will present delicious paintings of cakes by Sag Harbor artist Adriana Barone.

Celebrations will be held at the gallery from 2 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 29, and again on Saturday, March 2. Refreshments will include cake from Cakes by Dorothy, hot coffee and tea. All are welcome to drop in.

Adriana Barone is a graduate of Pratt Institute with a major in fine art and a minor in art history. In 1994, Barone moved to Sag Harbor from New York City and changed careers from art directing to energy healing. In addition to her healing practice, she spends massive amounts of time art making.

“Today I am consumed with the challenge of the canvas … the challenge of bringing spontaneity, freedom, and life force to my work by combining intuitive mark making, imagery, humor and a healthy dose of frustration and futility,” said Barone. “I paint to paint, and I relish the breakthroughs when they happen and I sit in the struggle sometimes impatiently, sometimes hopeful that this too shall pass.”

Romany Kramoris Gallery is located at 41 Main Street in Sag Harbor. For more information, visit kramorisgallery.com.
