Magic is created when diverse areas of the arts meld, then produce a transcendent inner experience and create an inner excitement — and on Sunday, November 17, Romany Kramoris Gallery in Sag Harbor hosts “Magic Holiday Music,” an event merging music, poetry and visual arts.
To celebrate the Choral Society of the Hamptons’ (CSH) holiday season, composer David Brandenburg was commissioned by the CSH and its conductor, Mark Mangini, to compose a special composition. “Dancing: Variations,” with lyrics from a poem by Sag Harbor resident Kathryn Levy pays tribute to the music and poetry of the composition, and will be accompanied by an exhibition featuring Adriana Barone’s watercolor images of sparse petals and flowers floating through endless white space.
“A perfect blending of the three arts — each one expressing the other,” said gallery owner Romany Kramoris.
In support of the CSH, Romany Kramoris Gallery is sponsoring an informal reception benefit throughout the holiday season, with a percentage of the season’s sales going to the organization. One of Barone’s flower petals paintings will be raffled off during the season.
The opening reception to meet the artists is Sunday, November 17, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Romany Kramoris Gallery is at 41 Main Street in Sag Harbor. Complimentary and abundant bites will be served, along with bubbly and non-bubbly.
