The Suffolk welcomes back Manticore, the tribute to Emerson, Lake & Palmer, for a night of symphonic rock mastery on Saturday, November 22, at 8 p.m.

Manticore faithfully reproduces the music of the legendary 1970s band that fused classical compositions by Bach, Tchaikovsky, Bartók, Copland, Mussorgsky, Ginastera, and Brubeck with the power, rhythm, and flash of rock ’n’ roll. Emerson, Lake & Palmer’s groundbreaking sound influenced bands like Yes, Rush, Kiss, Queen and Dream Theater, raising the bar for live performance in concert halls, stadiums and arenas.

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the album “Brain Salad Surgery,” Manticore performs all the hits from that record along with classics such as “Lucky Man” and “Fanfare for the Common Man,” as well as deep tracks that keep audiences on their toes. Praised by surviving ELP drummer Carl Palmer and called “absolutely fabulous” by Regina Lake, widow of Greg Lake, Manticore delivers an authentic, high-energy concert experience that will thrill longtime fans and newcomers alike.

Tickets range from $39 to $49 at thesuffolk.org. The Suffolk is located at 118 East Main Street, Riverhead.
