On Friday, three emerging screenwriters — Barbara Cigarroa, Sontenish Myers and Kirsten Tan — will plant themselves on the East End for a weekend of private, one-on-one mentoring sessions with established directors, producers and fellow screenwriters.
But on Saturday night, the public will get to peek inside the 19thannual Screenwriters Lab, hosted by the Hamptons International Film Festival, during an open Master Class with Jim Taylor and Tamara Jenkins starting at 6 p.m. at The Ross School, located at 18 Goodfriend Drive in East Hampton.
And if that’s not enough, the festival will present a special screening of “Terms of Endearment,” followed by a talkback with Alec Baldwin and David Nugent, on Friday, April 5, at 6 p.m. at Bay Street Theater, located at 1 Bay Street in Sag Harbor.
Tickets to the master class and screening are $25 each. For more information, visit hamptonsfilmfest.org.
