Bring your dancing shoes to this year’s Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation’s annual gala. This year’s featured performer is “Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue,” a high-energy funk band from New Orleans that has played The White House and The Grammy Awards combines hip-hop, rock, and jazz improvisation.
The gala will take place out doors under a tent on the grounds of the Montauk Playhouse Community Center, 240 Edgemere Street in Montauk on Saturday, August 6 from 7 to 11 p.m.
Guests can expect dinner, drinks, plenty of dancing as well as live and silent auctions. This year, Montauk residents George F. Biondo and Perry B. Duryea III are being honored for their philanthropic commitment to their community and the MPCCF.
This year’s gala will support fundraising efforts to build an Aquatic and Cultural Center inside the historic Montauk Playhouse.
Individual tickets start at $300 each, or lounge and table seating are also available.
