The Hampton Bays United Artists movie theater is now showing more than blockbusters.
As part of a Fathom Events initiative, the theater has expanded its film selections and is screening a wide range of cultural programming, in addition to its regular slate of newly released feature films. The theater, which is part of the Regal Entertainment Group, is now showcasing films from the Metropolitan Opera Series to the “Grateful Dead Summer Meet Up.”
Upcoming filmed entertainment this month includes: “Carmen” Met Opera Encore on Wednesday, June 19, at 6:30 p.m.; the “DCI 2013 Tour Premiere” on Monday, June 24, at 6 p.m.; “Il Trovatore” Met Opera Encore on Wednesday, June 26, at 6:30 p.m.; and “Exhibition Munch” on Thursday, June 27, at 7 p.m.
In July, planned screenings include: “Armida” Met Opera Encore on July 10 at 6:30 p.m. and “La Traviata” Met Opera Encore on July 17 at 6:30 p.m. In August, “Grateful Dead Meet up: Sunshine Daydream” on August 1 at 7:30 p.m. “Exhibition Vermeer and Music” screens on October 10 at 7 p.m.
