Back by popular demand, Daniel Lauter joins The Church on Sunday, May 14, at 10 a.m. for Mother’s Day with a morning sound bath in celebration of nurturing. Enjoy a next-level transformative experience by bathing in the immersive sound vibrations. Bring yoga mats or cushions to lay or sit on. Participants are also invited to come prepared with a sketchbook, canvas, journal, or any other activity, as the sounds will inspire and enhance continued creativity.

The session will begin with a guided mindfulness meditation to rest and align, followed by a sound bath and conclude with a soothing meditation on nurturing with the qualities of lavender and rose. Each attendee will receive a herbal Sachet de Senteur as a gift. The session will last around 85 minutes, and all ages are welcome to attend. The age range for children is between the ages of 7 and 12. Children should be accompanied by an adult and parents/caretakers are encouraged to bring coloring pads or other quiet activities they can enjoy during the sound bath lounge.

Daniel Lauter, aka Meditation DJ, is a multi-instrumentalist, classically trained musician, and was one of the first in the U.S. to pioneer the experiential composition and transformational qualities of crystal bowls in Sound Journeys, producing the first digital recordings. Lauter has since developed an extensive palette and collection of exquisite, innovative global sounds that have been used to perform and create experiences at galleries, yoga studios, and music venues for over 40 years.

He has presented experiences at Southampton Arts Center, Equinox, James Lane Post, Mandala Yoga, Yoga Shanti, The Yoga Loft at Bedford Post, CoSM, Live Nation, William Morris Endeavor, WP Public Library. Lauter studies Buddhist sutras, having received empowerment and transmission on Heart Sutra, Medicine Buddha, Tara, Vajrayogini, Sarasvatī and has lectured on sound and mindfulness at conferences internationally.

Tickets for the event are $30 (members $25, students $15 and children under 12 attend for free). For more information, visit thechurchsagharbor.org. The Church is at 48 Madison Street, Sag Harbor.
