Two musical performances will be offered this weekend in the inner sanctum of the Wamponamon Masonic Temple in Sag Harbor. On Friday, October 8, at 8 p.m., Kitty Twitty and The Honky Tonks take the stage. Classic country with a women’s touch, Katherine Chaffin is a resident of Bridgehampton who learned to sing country music from her truck driving daddy and practiced her craft in the honky tonk bar rooms of the American Southwest
On Saturday, October 9, at 8 p.m., Bing Bango! comes to the inner sanctum. Bingo Bango! is a fun, retro pop-inspired cover band from Sag Harbor bringing classic tunes and harmonies from the Beatles, Mamas and Papas, Carl Perkins, B52’s and even the Monkees, along with many other modern groove tunes and rarely performed hits that audiences find, fun, lively and widely entertaining.
The Masonic Music Series is a singer/songwriter series featuring the best of the East End’s musical performers in an intimate setting. Performance are in the unique inner sanctum of the Masonic Temple. The $20 admission supports gifts to local charities.
The music series is produced by the Freemason Brothers of The Sag Harbor Masonic Club and Wamponamon Lodge. Following CDC guidelines, vaccinated people are recommended to wear a mask and unvaccinated people are required to wear a mask. The Masonic Temple is located at 200 Main Street, Sag Harbor, above The Sag Harbor Whaling Museum with parking in the rear of the building.
