Parrish Art Museum Director Mónica Ramírez-Montagut, Ph.D., announced the appointment of Marc Giosi as deputy director of development as of January 30, 2023. A Long Island native, Giosi brings decades of experience in fundraising with leading arts organizations throughout the East Coast to his role at the museum.

“I am honored to be joining the staff of the Parrish Art Museum for its milestone 125th Anniversary year. I’m eager to contribute to its enduring legacy, and getting to know its many supporters,” said Giosi. “On a personal note, having grown up on Long Island, I have many fond memories of visiting its galleries and exhibitions at its prior Southampton location, and I am thrilled to forward the vision of the Parrish from its extraordinary facility in Water Mill.”

“After a comprehensive national search, we are delighted to have selected Marc Giosi to join the dedicated team at the Parrish,” said Ramirez-Montagut. “Marc brings talent, leadership, and a fresh perspective to the Parrish in this pivotal year of our 125th anniversary.”

Most recently, Giosi was development officer for the internationally renowned, New York-based Orchestra of St. Luke’s (OSL), contributing to a $4 million annual fundraising goal. As director of individual giving at the New World Symphony in Miami Beach, he was instrumental in fundraising for its 2019 tour to Carnegie Hall and the Parrish Art Museum. Prior positions include vice president of development at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, and executive director for Chatham Baroque in Pittsburgh, overseeing all operations including fundraising, marketing, touring, and album production. Giosi began his career in arts administration began at Chamber Music America (CMA), in several capacities and ultimately as conference and events manager.

Giosi has served as a grant panelist for NYSCA’s Community Arts Grant program, the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, and Florida Division of Cultural Affairs and volunteers as a development consultant for the Caroga Arts Collective, a multi-discipline arts consortium located in New York’s Southern Adirondack region. His speaking engagements include Carnegie Mellon University, Arts Midwest, Chamber Music America, Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council, Western Arts Alliance, among others. Giosi is an accomplished professional pianist with a Bachelor of Music from the Crane School of Music (SUNY Potsdam), and Masters in piano performance from New York University.
