In an effort to make NFT education more accessible, collaborative and fun, the Sound View Hotel in Greenport will be hosting an NFT Weekend from March 25 to 27, inviting the community to delve into the NFT space through a creative and innovative lens. With an out-of-the-box itinerary built for beginners and experts alike, the three-day event intends to serve as a supportive space for open exchange, free-flowing ideas and endless (yet digestible) information.
The NFT Weekend will go beyond classic informative panels to also incorporate hands-on creative workshops and fun-filled activities made to inspire curiosity and creativity — ranging from a polar bear plunge and NFT cocktail-making class to art, poetry and karaoke sessions. Additionally, the event will dive into important conversations and need-to-know information in the space, such as the equal access of this new marketplace as well as the medium itself and the basic principles of a blockchain world. To elevate the itinerary even further, a number of renowned artists have been tapped to host the weekend, including Brendan Fernandes whose projects work at the intersection of dance, visual arts and political protest.
Sound View hotel is part of Eagle Point Hotel Partners (EHPH) and was founded by hotelier Erik Warner and designed with an ethos of community empowerment and cultivation. As the latest extension of EPHP’s Kulture Collective platform — which aims to foster togetherness and community through curating shared experiences rooted in culture and creativity — the NFT Weekend looks to provide the tools and interactions to guide guests to learn about NFTS in a tangible and non-intimidating way, all while granting one-of-a-kind access to experts and leaders in the market. As such, it will serve as the ultimate occasion for those looking to enter the marketplace — or continue their NFT journey — with newfound inspiration, connections and education.
