The Southampton Lions Club Charitable Trust and WLNG are teaming up to host the seventh annual benefit Oldies Spectacular event on Saturday, August 8, at 7 p.m. at the Southampton High School auditorium.
Featured bands will be Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge, The Vogues, and Kenny Vance and the Planotones, led by master of ceremonies Cool Bobby B, the host of WLNG’s “The Doowop Stop” oldies show.
Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge will perform such hits as “Sixteen Candles” and “The Worst That Could Happen.” The Vogues will also bring their unique sound remembered from “5 O’Clock World” and “You’re the One” and Kenny Vance and the Planotones will continue to rock with “Looking for an Echo.”
