Open House at East End Arts

East End Arts & Humanities Council Inc. (EEA) in Riverhead hosts an open house on Wednesday, September 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. for children and adults who want insights into the new faculty and educational offerings at its Art & Music School.

This open house provides attendees the chance to meet many of its art and music staff and see its newest art and music lessons and classes. The event itinerary includes live music performances by the EEA Rocks program bands directed by five-time Grammy Award winner Bakithi Kumalo, live solo performances by classical music students, group vocal games and warm ups with Corinne Minor, guitar with Alex Alexander, drums with two-time Grammy Award winner Chris DiGirolamo, metalsmith jewelry-making demonstrations with Dana Neger-Lagos, solar plate printmaking demonstrations with Chris Ann Ambery, and interactive art projects for children with Renee Blank.

Any attendee who signs up for a class, band program or private music lessons at the event receives 10 percent off tuition with the option to sign up for EEA membership to receive an additional 10 percent discount. Partial scholarships are available for classes and private lessons. The event is free and open to the public. No registration is required to attend and check-in is located at the main Art & Music School building, 141 East Main Street, Riverhead.
