The John Drew Theater at East Hampton’s Guild Hall has a trompe l’oeil circus-tent ceiling—so where better for Our Fabulous Variety Show to present a circus-themed show this weekend featuring aerialists, dance and music numbers, improv and sketch comedy?

Inspired by Cirque du Soleil, Our Fabulous Variety Show’s Cirque du Fabuleux will also include Samantha Slithers and her snakes during Saturday performances, and drag queen diva RaffaShow, aka Danny Ximo, during the Sunday matinée. Aerialist Laura Haley performs at all four shows over the weekend.

While much of the show will be original—including material improvised on the spot—also among the highlights will be the opening number from Stephen Schwartz’s 1972 musical “Pippin.”

Our Fabulous Variety Show founders Anita Boyer and Kasia Klimiuk direct Cirque du Fabuleux and created original works for the show with the cast of more than 30 local professional performers and pre-professional students.

Proceeds will benefit the OFVS Performing Arts Scholarship, awarded to a local high school senior. The winner, chosen by a scholarship committee of local community members involved in the arts, will be presented with the scholarship at the Sunday matinée.

Performances are Friday, November 30, at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, December 1, at 2 and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, December 2, at 2 p.m. at Guild Hall, 158 Main Street, East Hampton. Tickets range from $20 to $55. Visit ourfabulousvarietyshow.org or call 631-507-4603.
