Performing Arts Camp At WHBPAC

It’s never too early to make plans for summer. Once again, this year Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center has scheduled a wide range of summer performing arts camps for children of all ages. Class times vary from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 4 p.m. All camps are safe, socially-distanced, masked and sanitized throughout the day. To learn more about the camps, visit whbpac.org.

Missoula Children’s Theatre Camps for ages 6 to 14

Monday to Friday

“Emperor’s New Clothes” July 5-9

“Hansel and Gretel” July 12-16

“Johnny Appleseed” August 16-20

Campers are cast on Monday, and by Friday, they are performance-ready with costumes and sets. When they’re not rehearsing with directors from Missoula Children’s Theatre, campers will be learning all about theater and singing from WHBPAC’s acclaimed teaching artists, enjoying pizza parties and ice cream socials and participating in the ever-popular “Spirit Days.” Young people 12 and up who would like to be “behind the scenes” can choose to participate as “Assistant Directors.”

Tween Musical Theatre Troupe — Twisted Fairytales for ages 8 to 12

This special week-long camp is designed specifically for the tween actor by the WHBPAC artistic staff. Students will learn new skills, expand their imaginations and hone their craft as an actor and writer, while rehearsing and performing an original musical written by them.

Broadway Bound Dance Intensive for ages 12 to 17

Monday to Thursday

August 9-12

In this week-long dance intensive, WHBPAC will help students develop their jazz and tap technique as well as learn famous original Broadway choreography. This camp is sure to help hone dancing skills for those future shows.

Tween Theatre Troup — Seashore Shenanigans for ages 9 to 12

Monday to Thursday

July 26-29

Designed just for tweens, campers audition on Monday, and everyone gets an equal part in a true ensemble play written just for them by WHBPAC artistic staff. Campers work with veteran teaching artists to develop their characters and hone acting technique before presenting an afternoon performance for family and friends.
