For nearly two decades Bill Schulman was a columnist for Yankees Magazine, the club’s official publication. Over the course of those years, he interviewed more than 100 former Yankee players. On Friday, June 10, at 5 p.m. Schulman, author of “Pinstripes and Tales: Curious Stories the Yankees Told Me,” will present a lecture about the team at Montauk Library.
This family friendly talk about New York Yankee baseball history will provide a fascinating and humorous view of what it means to be a professional athlete. His lecture will present some of the team’s most interesting anecdotes. For fans of the Yankees, or even those who root against them, this is a terrific way to get to know more about America’s national sport.
The talk is free and open to the public. Register at montauklibrary.org/calendar or call 631-668-3377. Montauk Library is at 871 Montauk Highway.
