Talks, tapas and literature on the lawn — it doesn’t get much better than that.
The Quogue Library will kick off its “Conversations with the Author” series on Sunday, July 7, with “Girls Like Us” by Cristina Alger from 5 to 7 p.m. on the Quogue Village Firehouse Green.
The series continues on July 21 with “The League of Wives: The Untold Story of the Woman Who Took On the U.S. Government to Bring Their Husbands Home from Vietnam” by Heath Hardage Lee, now optioned for a feature film; “Superbugs: The Race to Stop an Epidemic” by Dr. Matt McCarthy on August 11 and “The Farm” by Joanne Ramos on August 18.
“Nestled in New York’s Hudson Valley is a luxury retreat boasting every amenity — organic meals, personal fitness trainers, daily massages — and all of it for free,” according to a press release for "The Farm." “The catch? For nine months, you dedicate yourself to the task of producing the perfect baby. For someone else.”
