On select Sundays in July and August, Quogue Library is hosting “Conversations with the Author,” a talk and tapas series at The Quogue Village Firehouse Green. All talks are 5 to 7 p.m. and tapas are compliments of Hamptons Farms. Tickets are $20 per event at 631-653-4224.

July 7: National bestselling author Cristina Alger discusses her book “Girls Like Us,” a New York Times Book Review Editors’ Choice and must-read summer thriller from the New York Post, Entertainment Weekly, and Parade. The novel is currently in development as a limited TV series.

July 21: Heath Hardage Lee discusses her book “The League of Wives: The Untold Story of the Woman Who Took On the U.S. Government to Bring Their Husbands Home from Vietnam.” The book has been optioned for a feature film.

August 11: New York Times bestselling author Dr. Matt McCarthy discusses his book “Superbugs: The Race to Stop an Epidemic.” The book tells the story of cutting-edge science and the race against the clock to find new treatments in the fight against antibiotic-resistant bacteria.

August 18: National bestselling author Joanne Ramos discusses her book “The Farm.” Nestled in New York’s Hudson Valley, The Farm is a luxury retreat boasting every amenity: organic meals, personal fitness trainers, daily massages—and all of it for free.
