Renowned musicians Rachael Price and Vilray are set to embark on an extraordinary musical journey on Sunday, August 6, at 8 p.m. at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center (WHBPAC). For one night only the duo presents “Rachael & Vilray,” a show that will captivate audiences with an enchanting blend of jazz, swing and timeless melodies.

“This unique musical partnership pushes the boundaries of jazz and swing while delivering an unforgettable performance from two acclaimed musicians,” says WHBPAC Executive Director Julienne Penza-Boone. The duo is touring in support of their newly released album, “I Love a Love Song!,” from Nonesuch Records.

Rachael Price, known for her soulful and mesmerizing voice, gained prominence as the lead vocalist of the critically acclaimed band Lake Street Dive. With her magnetic stage presence and a voice that effortlessly traverses genres, she continues to wow audiences across the globe with her eclectic musical stylings. Price’s ability to infuse every note with raw emotion has earned her critical acclaim, awards, and a devoted fan base. Her music is inspired by the Golden Age of Jazz and the Tin Pan Alley style of music that was popular in the early 1900s, a blend of ragtime, parlor songs, blues, and jazz that was infused with a whimsical sense of novelty.

Vilray (vill-ree) is a composer and performer from Brooklyn whose original compositions recall the jazz and theatrical songwriters of Tin Pan Alley and authors of The Great American Songbook. With the release of two singles “Even in the Evening” and “Put Your Hand In His Side” and the duo’s first album Rachael & Vilray on Nonesuch Records, his sound has earned wider acclaim. With his velvety voice and masterful guitar skills, Vilray enthralls listeners, transporting them to a bygone era of elegance and sophistication.

When Rachael Price and Vilray come together, their musical synergy is nothing short of magical, which highlights their seamless vocal harmonies, impeccable musicianship, and an undeniable musical chemistry that is simply spellbinding. Drawing inspiration from jazz legends of the past while adding their own modern twist, Rachael & Vilray breathe new life into classic tunes and present original compositions that are both timeless and contemporary.

Tickets for the show are $79 to $107 at whbpac.org. Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center is at 76 Main Street, Westhampton Beach.
