“Artists Within: A Ross Faculty and Staff Art Show” opens with a reception at the Ross School in East Hampton on Thursday, October 24, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The exhibition features artwork by teachers from the school as well as staff members who are practicing artists. They include: Alexis Martino, Jennifer Cross, Paul Gansky, Jon Mulhern, Daniel Donovan, Ned Smyth, Sherry Williams, Christopher Engel, Dan Roe, Lutha Leahy-Miller, Connie Judson, and Liss Larsen.

Works in the show represent a variety of artistic disciplines, including painting, drawing, photography, video, and mixed media. Among the highlights is an installation by Daniel Donovan, a new Ross Visual Arts and Design teacher whose background includes military service in Iraq. His installation displays ceramics he created that reproduce in large scale medals he received during his service.

The art is for sale and half of the proceeds from work sold will fund a scholarship for this year's Field Academy. Field Academy is a three-week intensive course wherein students and teachers travel around the world to study in the field. Past Field Academy courses included travel to Croatia, Colombia, Portugal, Italy, Brazil, Morocco, and other countries.

The Ross Gallery is located in Building 3 on the Ross School campus at 18 Goodfriend Drive, East Hampton. The show will remain on view through December 2.
