The 10th annual Sag Harbor American Music Festival (SHAMF) is coming to town from September 23-26. After a year off due to COVID-19, the festival is back with a lineup of completely free outdoor concerts to commemorate its 10th year.
Celebrate the diversity of American music and the blending of musical cultures like bluegrass, gospel, old time music, Appalachian folk, blues, Cajun and Native American which have served as the basis for jazz, rock ‘n roll, and other types of popular music today. All these genres and more will be presented live and free to the public featuring artists that span the globe and the regional community.
From a giant sailcloth tent at Marine Park on Bay Street to the new all-weather stage at Steinbeck Park, dozens of acts will be featured. Additional outdoor venues include cultural district locations such as the Sag Harbor Whaling Museum, the Customs House, John Jermain Memorial Library, the Sag Harbor Historical Society’s Annie Cooper Boyd House and several pop-up locations to be announced.
