Now that both parts of the acclaimed HBO Max documentary “Billy Joel: And So It Goes” have aired and buzz continues to build, Sag Harbor Cinema will host an exclusive one-night-only theatrical screening on Wednesday, August 27.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see the new HBO documentary on the big screen with world-class sound, celebrating the extraordinary life and music of Billy Joel — right here in his hometown theater. In addition, members of the film’s team will be on hand to take part in a conversation about it.

Part 1 of the documentary will screen at 4 p.m. A reception follows at 6:30 p.m. and will include a cocktail party with delicious nibbles from Sen held on the cinema’s third floor.

At 8 p.m., Susan Lacy, the film’s award-winning director and Sag Harbor Cinema board member, will be in conversation with the film’s co-director Jessica Levin and producer Steve Cohen. The evening will also include a special video greeting from Billy Joel himself. Part 2 of the film follows and will be screened at 8:20 p.m.

Admission to the screening and cocktail reception is available for a $150 donation to benefit Sag Harbor Cinema. Celebrate a music legend with fellow film and music lovers — and don’t forget to grab your popcorn from the cinema’s very own Billy Joel popcorn stand. Seating is extremely limited, so reserve your spot today.
