The Sag Harbor Whaling & Historical Museum’s Summer Music Series kicks off on Saturday, May 5, with a performance with Dick Johansson & The Highlanders and special guest Jim Turner.
The concert will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on the museum grounds. Admission will be $20 for adults and $10 for those under 21. Admission will include an open bar for those of legal age.
The concerts will continue on select Saturdays, through August 11. Each concert will feature Dick Johansson & The Highlanders, along with a special guest, with performances from 5 to 7 p.m.
On June 23, Gene Casey will perform with the band. Inda Eaton will sit in on July 14. Caroline Doctorow plays on July 28. The final concert of the series will be held on August 11 and will feature Bryan Downey, Cynthia Daniels and more.
The museum will also be open for exhibitions this summer. “Light by the Water,” paintings by Plein Air Peconic, will be on view from Thursday, May 17, through July 9. “For the Birds,” by Dan Rizzie and friends, will be on display from July 12 through September 16.
