Sticks & Stones Comedy will present its annual “After the Stuffing” comedy show featuring headliner Sherrod Small and the Sticks & Stones All-Star Comedy Lineup on Saturday, November 29, at 8 p.m. at the Southampton Cultural Center. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
Sherrod Small is one of the top comedians to emerge from New York City. A comedian, writer, producer, actor, radio host and all-around performer, he is best known for his off-the-cuff celebrity commentary on programs airing on VH1, NBC, ABC, Fox, Fox News, MSNBC, CNN and other networks.
Small can currently be heard as a regular on “Opie Radio” on SiriusXM and as co-host of his popular weekly podcast “Race Wars.” He recently co-starred as host of “Black & White” on A&E and has hosted “United States of Hip Hop” on Fuse and “The Full Hoon” on the Car and Driver channel. He has also appeared as a guest on “Red Eye” on Fox News and was a regular correspondent on “Good Afternoon America” on ABC. Small plays Malcolm on Tyler Perry’s “Are We There Yet?”
Born and raised in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, Small performs at clubs, colleges and corporate events nationwide. Known for his witty commentary on politics, culture and city life, he consistently earns praise for his sharp improvisation and engaging stage presence. His comedy has been quoted in The New York Times and on Fox News.
Small has appeared on numerous television shows, including VH1’s “Best Week Ever,” G4’s “The International Sexy Ladies Show,” AMC’s “FilmFakers,” NBC’s “Today,” and Fox’s “The Morning Show With Mike & Juliet.” His other credits include “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend,” NBC’s “Showtime at the Apollo” and Comedy Central’s “Tough Crowd With Colin Quinn,” for which he also wrote.
He appeared in Jerry Seinfeld’s film “Comedian” and performed on the Emmy Award-winning “Chris Rock Show” on HBO. Small has also starred in several commercials, including Southwest Airlines’ popular “Concert” spot, and made appearances on “Late Night With Conan O’Brien,” “Hard Copy,” “20/20,” “Comedians Under Cover,” and numerous radio programs including “Radio Chick,” “The Scott & Sid Morning Show,” “Raw Dog” and “Maxim Radio.”
Tickets range from $35 to $70 and include fees. Seating options include general admission, reserved and VIP. Snacks, drinks, live music and an art gallery will be available before the show.
