Southampton Arts Center threw a Halloween silent disco outdoor dance party on Saturday, October 26. Sponsored by Simone and David Levinson, this was the last silent disco boogie of the year, and the weather — as well as the costumes — were perfect.
Guests wore headphones and could choose to listen to music on three different channels — ’70s on one channel, ’80s, ’90s and Hip-Hop on another, and Top-40 on a third. Headphones lit up with colors assigned to each channel so dancers could see who was listening to what and the DJs encouraged dancers to sing along or join in group dances like the Hustle, the Electric Slide, Cotton Eye Joe, and the Cupid Shuffle.
