Beginning its global journey in Tokyo in 2015, “Broken Bone Bathtub” is an immersive theater project that takes place inside a real bathtub, in an actual home. After a serious bike accident, a young woman, portrayed by Siobhan O’Loughlin, musters up the courage to ask for help and shares her story, exploring themes of trauma, suffering, human generosity, vulnerability and connection.
The audience takes on the role of O’Loughlin’s close friends by listening and sharing their experiences, and assisting the artist in the actual ritual of taking a bath.
An intimate audience of 10 will gather at Guild Hall and walk to the nearby performance site. To learn more about where this internationally adventurous show has been, and how you can book the show in your home, please head over to
