Benjamin Scheuer is a storyteller who uses everything he’s got — including six guitars in the case of “The Lion,” the 2015 Theatre World Award Winner and New York Times Critics’ Pick production, which will come to Guild Hall in East Hampton on Friday, July 1 at 8 p.m.
Mr. Scheuer, the Drama Desk Award winner for Outstanding Solo Performer, stars in this musical that tells the tale of one man’s coming-of-age. The singer-songwriter uses raw wit and emotional depth to bring viewers on a rock and roll journey from boyhood to manhood, through pain and healing through the redemptive power of music.
Tickets are $40 to $75 for non-members; $38 to $70 for members. Free Saunders Student Rush tickets are also available. For more information, call Guild Hall, 158 Main Street in East Hampton, at (631) 324-0806 or visit guildhall
