The Southampton Arts Center’s Spooktacular Haunted House will return for a third year to frighten the community just in time for Halloween inside their historic building during the last two weeks of October.
The Spooktacular Haunted House, produced by Oscar Gonzalez, has seven scary rooms that hide monsters under the bed, scary clowns, an evil butcher, zombies, a forest of skeletons and more.
“Oscar Gonzalez and his team create a spine-tingling haunted house that the entire community will enjoy. We are also very pleased to keep the admission price at just $5,” Southampton Arts Center Board Secretary Fairley Pilaro said.
Mr. Gonzalez designed, created and developed his first haunt on Shelter Island at La Maison Blanche Hotel and he creates his own props, sets and designs. In 2013 he created the VooDoo Haunted House in Mattituck, and launched the first Spooktacular Haunted House at the Southampton Arts Center.
Volunteers are needed for the Haunted House. Please email akirwin@southamptoncenter.org if you are interested. Tickets can be purchased at the door and this event is for ages 8 and up. Lights will stay on for the first hour for those with young children.
“The whimsically creepy feel extends out to our current exhibition, Chas Addams: Family and Friends, which encompasses more than fifty original works from famed cartoonist Charles Addams, including all aspects and genres of subject matter relating to The Addams Family cartoons, on which the television series and feature films were based” Southampton Arts Center Director of Programs, Amy Kirwin said. “It’s the perfect pairing for a simply spooky Halloween.”
The schedule is October 21, 5 to 10 p.m., October 22, 5 to 10 p.m. October 23, 3 to 7 p.m., October 27, 5 to 8 p.m., October 28, 5 to 10 p.m., October 29, 5 to 10 p.m., October 30, 4 to 9 p.m. and October 31, 4 to 7 p.m.
