Script readings will occur and Joan M. Lyons will direct the performances.

Performances will start on January 19 and run through February 5. The Money Shot, is a showbiz satire by that made its Off-Broadway debut in 2014 at the Lucille Lortel Theater.

The play is set in the Hollywood Hills home of couple Karen and Bev, Karen’s live-in girlfriend. Karen and Steve are movie stars that are both desperate for a hit. A new movie by a hot shot European director could change that as the actors struggle to keep themselves relevant.

Mr. LaBute’s, first officially billed comedy, it has been called “sexy, daring and darkly hilarious.” His other plays include “Reasons to Be Pretty, Reasons to Be Happy,” “The Shape of Things,” “The Break of Noon,” “Fat Pig” and “The Mercy Seat.”.

Roles include Karen, a “mid 30’s to 40’s, narcissistic, glamorous movie star, past her peak,” Bev, “ late 30’s to 40’s, smart and successful Brown graduate, the straight “man” of the four,” Steve, “50’s (claims he’s 48), ignorant, egomaniacal fading action movie star obsessed with his image and own machismo” and Missy “20’s beach girl turned clueless aspiring actress.”
