Southampton Town Awards Cultural Arts And Recreation Grants

Southampton Town’s annual Cultural Arts and Recreation Grants have been awarded for 2017, providing a boon to numerous cultural institutions and agencies.

The money is raised through Cablevision franchise fees that the town collects and the grant applications are reviewed by the Community Services Division and members of the Southampton Town Board.

Receiving $2,000 grants are Children’s Museum of the East End, Quogue Wildlife Refuge and Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center. Getting $1,500 each are Bay Street Theater and East End Special Players, getting $1,000 are Byrd Hoffman Water Mill Foundation, East Quogue Historical Society, I-Tri Inspirational Triathlon Racing International, Parrish Art Museum, Sag Harbor Historical Society, Water Mill Museum, Westhampton Beach Historical Society, Shinnecock Foundation of Arts, Southampton Arts Center, Southampton Cultural Center, Southampton Historical Museum and Sag Harbor Whaling & Historical Museum, and getting $500 are Art Remsenburg Academy, Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival, East Quogue Chamber of Commerce, East Quogue Civic Association, Galilee Church of God in Christ, Hampton Bays Public Library, Hamptons AARP Community Group, Horticultural Alliance of the Hamptons, Joshua’s Place, OLA of Eastern Long Island, Pianofest In the Hamptons, St. John The Evangelist and Southampton Rose Society.
