The cast of this year’s fourth-grade Springs School’s opera, “A Peacock’s Tale,” reunited on Thursday to record a CD of songs from the show.
With the help of former Crossroads Music employees, a portable recording studio was set up in the school’s music room, where students sang selections from the show, including songs from past operas, like “Teacher’s Pet,” that were reused.
“It is very exciting for the children to participate in this experience,” said Colleen McGowan, an art teacher at the Springs School who has been with the opera program since its inception.
