The Cat in the Hat and his friends are sprung from the pages of Dr. Seuss’s books and come alive on stage in“Seussical,” the musical which will be performed this weekend by the young actors of Stages, A Children’s Theatre Workshop, at the Southampton Cultural Center. .“Seussical,” with music by Stephen Flaherty, lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, and book by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, opened on Broadway in 2000. Stages shows are Saturday, May 4, at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, May 5, at 2 p.m. Helene Leonard directs and choreographs the show. Musical accompaniment will be provided by Amanda Jones and James Benard, with sets by Goran Petmil.
